Feeding Guide

We recommend using the guide below as a starting point, but every pet is different. Adjust the feeding amount as necessary to help your pet achieve an ideal body weight. Divide the number of patties per day by the number of feedings per day.

Daily Feeding Guidelines

(each patty is approx. 8 oz.): Up to 4 months: 2-10 lb: ½-1¾ patties; 11-20 lb: 1¾-2¾ patties; 21-30 lb: 2¾-4 patties; 31-40 lb: 4-5 patties; 41-50 lb: 5-6 patties 4 to 8 months: 2-10 lb: ½-1½ patties; 11-20 lb: 1½-2½ patties; 21-30 lb: 2½-3¼ patties; 31-40 lb: 3¼-4 patties; 41-50 lb: 4-5 patties 8 to 12 months: 2-10 lb: ½-1 patties; 11-20 lb: 1-2 patties; 21-30 lb: 2-2¾ patties; 31-40 lb: 2¾-3¼ patties; 41-50 lb: 3¼-4 patties

Handling Tips

- Keep frozen until ready to use. Defrost your pet's daily portion by thawing it in a covered container in the refrigerator overnight or for approximately 4 to 6 hours. Patties should be cold to the touch when served.
- Wash hands, working surfaces, utensils, bowls and any other items that come in contact with raw meat or poultry with hot, soapy water.
- If your pet does not consume all the food presented within 30 minutes, discard any leftovers.
- Keep package sealed to maintain freshness.

Transitioning to Instinct

Always introduce a new food over a period of 5 to 7 days, mixing increasing amounts of Instinct with the current food each day.

Complete & Balanced Statement

Instinct® Raw Longevity™ Raw Frozen Meals Cage-Free Chicken Recipe for Puppies is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for growth except for growth of large size dogs (70 lbs or more as an adult).
