As many of you know Stick & Stone Tack Shop was not started by Brian and Karen Johnstone. It was founded by Jean McBride, where she ran the tack shop from the basement of her house on Stick & Stone Lane. Jean was looking to retire. We and many others went to her well stocked basement for all of our horsey needs. If you needed it Jean had it, if you had a question she had the answer. Jean was an amazing lady, who will forever be a part of Stick and Stone Tack Shop. Since Jean and her business were such an important part of our lives, we couldn't see the tack store close. That's when we broached the idea of taking it over from her; who has since passed.

Brian & Karen have done their best to offer the same great service that Jean provided us; all those years ago. We hope we have given you a similar tack store feeling, with a just little bit more room.

Much like Jean, we began our journey with the business in our own basement and from there it has grown into the much more spacious store you know and love today. We have expanded and enhanced the selections in our store over the years to try and service you, our loyal customers to the best of our abilities.

We carry a wide selection of western & english saddles, accessories, bits, hats, cowboy boots & The Original Muck boot. In the last 3 years we have expanded our inventory to include pet toys, treats, shampoo, and medicinal supplies. We brought in the pet tag engraver & memorial stones for clients to recognize their four legged friends wherever they are.  We also stock a good supply of livestock feed for chickens, ducks, horses, cows, cats, dogs & small pets; we've got all your animal needs covered under one roof.
